July 20 is Space Exploration Day and we're throwing a SPACE JAM to celebrate Worcester's decades of contribution to space travel!
In partnership with Worcester On The Moon, we have a full day of space-themed events planned, including:
- Space costume contests for kids and grown-ups!
The kids contest will take place at 3 pm, and the adult contest at 8 pm. Winners get medals, gift cards, and other prizes!
- A replica space suit on display!
- Space-themed music, movies, decorations, and fun facts all day!
- Rare footage of Robert Goddard's rocket experiments on the big screen!
- A rocket ship village for kids!
Additionally, Asylum Popatorium will be in the house with a spaced-themed pop-up menu from 4-8 pm:
Moon Pop!: Popover filled with marshmallow creme and dipped in chocolate, served on a stick.
Philly Cheese Pop: Thinly shaved steak with cheddar cheese, onions, and peppers with a side of cheddar cheese sauce.
Caprese Pop: Tomato, mozzarella, and basil baked inside a golden brown popover, served with a balsamic glaze.
